Over the weekend, The Amateur Art Collector was ranked as number 100 out of 100 on the WordPress “growing blogs” list. What could possibly be more popular than a fine art collecting blog, you ask? Well…how about American Idol followers (#27), Canadian paintball (#96), and something about a wandering narcoleptic (#87).
But, really, thanks for visiting! It’s been a great first week. I’ve especially enjoyed the email exchanges with other art bloggers who were gracious enough to offer tips and encouragement.
And since there’s no clearly related image to go with this off-topic post, I’m sharing this photo I couldn’t help but take while visiting Seoul, South Korea a few weeks back. While not the main arts district, the Insadong neighborhood housed a few galleries– including one very publicly presenting a work depicting President Barack Obama.
